Cysticlean® es un producto alimenticio a base de extracto concentrado de arándano americano. Arandano Rojo

 
El arándano americano es conocido por sus propiedades antibacterianas y beneficios sobre el mantenimiento de la salud de las vías urinarias gracias a su contenido en proantocianidinas (PAC).

 

 
Principio activo:
 
Extracto concentrado de arándano americano (Vaccinum macrocarpon) con 118 mg de proantocinidinas (PAC).

Acción principal:
Antiadhesivo bacteriano gracias a las proantocianidinas (PAC).
 

 
Indicaciones:
Salud urinaria. Existen multitud de estudios científicos que demuestran la utilidad y eficacia de los extractos de arándano rojo americano en la reducción de la incidencia de la cistitis.
Estudios recientes constatan que las proantocianidinas del arándano rojo americano son el principal componente que ayuda a eliminar las bacterias causantes de la infección urinaria. También se ha demostrado que una mayor concentración de PAC produce una mayor eliminación de bacterias.
 

 
Posología:
Un comprimido o un sobre al día preferentemente por la noche durante un periodo recomendado de entre 3 y 6 meses (o según indicaciones del médico o farmacéutico). En casos de repetición continuada, como recomienda el Instituto Cochrane, se recomienda la ingesta continuada de extracto concentrado de arándano rojo americano durante un año.
 
 
La toma de extracto concentrado de arándano americano no tiene contraindicaciones ni efectos secundarios descritos. Por ello es ideal como tratamiento prolongado para evitar las repeticiones de cistitis.

Cistitis: causas y síntomas

 
La cistitis se presenta cuando las vías urinarias inferiores (uretra y vejiga) se infectan con bacterias y resultan irritadas e inflamadas produciendo escozor y picor, casi siempre acompañados del aumento del deseo de orinar.
 
La principal bacteria causante es Escherichia coli, bacteria que se encuentra de forma natural en el tracto gastrointestinal inferior y en el aparato genital externo, y que ocasionalmente puede penetrar en la vejiga a través de la uretra produciendo la infección urinaria.
 
La cistitis es mucho más frecuente en la mujer porque la longitud de la uretra (el conducto que conecta la vejiga con el exterior) es mucho más corta que la del hombre.
 
La cistitis puede producir los siguientes síntomas:
 

Síntomas más frecuentes  
 

  • Presión en la parte inferior de la pelvis
  • Micción dolorosa (disuria)
  • Necesidad frecuente o urgente de orinar
  • Necesidad de orinar en la noche ( nicturia)
  • Color anormal de la orina (turbio)
  • Sangre en la orina (hematuria)
  • Orina con olor fuerte o fétido

Otros síntomas adicionales que pueden estar asociados con esta enfermedad son:
 

  • Relaciones sexuales dolorosas
  • Dolor de pene en el hombre (poco común)
  • Dolor en el costado
  • Fatiga
  • Fiebre
  • Escalofríos
  • Náuseas y vómitos
  • Alteraciones cognitivas, desorientación témporoespacial y confusión (en personas de edad avanzada)
